Big Election - but who to choose??

With the election well on its way, I can’t help but wonder if anyone is in the same boat as me.
I don’t follow anything to do with politics and I didn’t care who our priminsiter was or who got chosen. Being under 18 I didn’t have to worry about that but now the time has come. Now that I’m 18 I have to vote and no - I don’t want to go make up a dodge vote because I can’t help but think that mine will be the one that is the decider!
But who to choose if you don’t know anything about what either one of them promises! Watch the political discussions more? Well I tried watching the 90minute debate last night but much to my partner’s disgust – only got through 30 minutes of it before I was fast asleep. All I got out of it was that Kevin Rudd wants to get rid of the workers right thing – which I think is a great thing… I thought anyway… and that John Howard made the best argument over all. (judging by the votes on sun-rise the next morning).
What to do? Who do I choose? Hopefully something will happen that will make me choose one way or another……

Hey there! I know what you mean. I found this great website which outlines the different party’s opinions on different areas: http://www.australiavotes.org/policies/index.php
Have a read - it’s quite interesting - only the Greens didn’t answer the questions.

yeah im goin liberal… i have a sad obsession with politics… not quite a public obsession but yeah even if costello gets power he knows whats best (definately for the country maybe not as much so for the individual.) Howard keeps the balance well and knows that privatisation ect. is good for the economy… Rudds ideas sound very similar to the last time labor was in power… what a disastor that was.
